Beach Day Playlist

Summer is here so grab your bathing suits, towels, cooler, umbrella, sunglasses, sun black, and smiles. The beach is one of the most popular summer destinations across the country and whether you’re in North Dakota or Florida, somewhere there’s a beach calling your name. So in order to get in the right mindset for a summer full of beach bumming here is a playlist to guide you through an entire day at the beach.

“Playing with the Boys” (Kenny Loggins): The song made famous from the Top Gun volleyball scene, is a quintessential 80s classic sure to want you to throw on a pair of jean shorts and head to the beach. Crank this song up in your car as you’re headed to the beach.

“Toes” (Zach Brown Band): The opening lyrics couldn’t be any sweeter for a day at the beach. “I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand. Life is good today. Life is good today.” Sit down and relax in your beach chair and do as the man says.

“I Get Around” (Beach Boys): Pick up the Beach Boys “best of” compilation CD and your pretty much set for an afternoon of sand castle making, swimming, boating, and sun bathing. The name says it all.

“When the Sun Goes Down” (Kenny Chesney): This classic summer country hit needs to be turned up just before the bonfire is a blazing. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and singing the sun away on the beach with this tune.

“All Summer Long” (Kid Rock): The country/rock/pop/rap artists does this mashup of two classic rock songs to describe a blissful summer evening to conclude your evening at the beach.
